How to teach the Five Pillars to children

Introduce one pillar at a time and connect its name with a simple action or meaning. Ask children to repeat the names in order, but also help them understand that each pillar is an act of worship performed for Allah.

Avoid presenting the Five Pillars as the whole of Islam. Children should gradually learn that Islam also teaches faith, good character, family responsibility, honesty, justice, and kindness.
